Reports To: Director of Clinical Services in concert with Local Site Management. Primary contact will be the Local Site Management.
The Regional Clinical Faculty is responsible for scheduling and executing the clinical internship program (EMS 104, 105, 106, 204, 205, 206) in the assigned area. This position will be responsible for both live and online students who attend clinicals in the assigned region.
*RCF may also hold a role as an instructor, separate from and in addition to clinical duties. *
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as a liaison to hospitals and EMS agencies in the assigned region.
- Assists hospitals and EMS agencies in real-time if there is a student issue.
- Supports the mission vision and values of the school to outside agencies.
- Assists the school in acquiring and maintaining clinical affiliation agreements.
- Schedules students in the assigned region, and ensures student compliance.
- Works closely with the primary instructor and SOE leadership in enforcing student compliance with policies and procedures.
- Issues and/or recommends PIPs and Probation notices to students who require behavior modification and helps develop a plan for student success.
- Audits student clinical records in FISDAP and updates the Primary Instructor and Local Site Management.
- Attends at minimum 2 clinical team meetings per month and reports status of the region to the Clinical Director.
- Attends occasional site team meetings and reports status of the clinical sites to the Site Manager.

2 years in a prehospital 911 ALS system
The instructor must complete the School of EMS Instructor Orientation.
Part 1: Completed prior to instructing students.
Part 2: Complete within 30 days of hire.
Part 3: Complete online module within 30 days of hire. Should complete the entire onboarding process including card course instructor within 6 months of employment.
Part 4: Completes instructor development courses as required.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
State EMT or Paramedic credential in good standing
Must exhibit the ability to read, analyze, and interpret education-related material. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures as they relate to teaching certain topics within the EMS curriculum.
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions in different formats. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in the use of audio-visual equipment.
May be assigned to assist in training new adjunct instructors with certain clinical areas.
